As a Senior Graphic - Apparel & Accessories Designer, I was responsible for bringing my vision of the Brand to life through innovative, trend - and keeping the Brand graphic that are cutting - edge and classic. shamshadesign.com
My process starts with an impulse, an inspiration, a spark. Nature has long been my muse – it grounds me. The natural world was my playground as a child and still brings me joy every day. I’m a visual explorer and see patterns everywhere – from a flowering exhibit in Atlanta’s Botanical Garden, to art deco jewelry I notice in a book, or a stained glass image that inspires my color palate.
All my designs have personal history and stories behind them. Each one is authentic and meaningful to me. As a child, my mother was the seamstress who designed and sewed our many dresses. When I was old enough, she taught me how to sew and pay attention to details. Now, my biggest joy comes from expressing my prints and classic styles in the design of a beautiful dress for other little girls.
Whether the design is fresh and contemporary or sweet and nostalgic, I thoroughly enjoy the process of creating the dresses your little one will have fun wearing. Minna’s patterns are designed to be loved by the little wearer, giving them a sense of art, creativity, and comfort in order to encourage playfulness and self-expression.
Our philosophy … children’s design’s on children’s terms. Children need clothing that allows them to move freely, to express themselves openly, and to explore a world of delightful possibilities – not clothing that restricts their movements.
Our style is modern with delightful aesthetic, colorful designs that often have a humorous twist – just quirky enough to get noticed – but never at the price of function and quality. Our design maintains a mix of witty charm balanced with the cleaner lines of a classic look. Minna is children’s fashion that’s brimming with charm.
We are able to offer you the most up to date, fresh & exciting interpretations of the latest trends in print & color. All our prints are produced via digital fabric printing and automated cutting. This allows Minna to order smaller quantities more quickly, with the potential of significant reduction in what ends up on the discount rack or in landfills. We know that Mother Nature will appreciate our conscious approach to updating our business to reduce our carbon footprint. The world will thank us all later.
